SAN ANTONIO — The Cowboys released two players on Saturday, quarterback Zack Eskridge and nose tackle Billy Blackard. Both were undrafted rookie free agents.
Blackard (6-3, 329) went to college at Northeastern State (Okla.) and Eskridge played at Midwestern State and Rockwall.
That gives the Cowboys 88 players on their roster now. On Aug. 30, the Cowboys have to be down to 75 players. Their 53-man roster has to be finalized Sept. 3.
